Halsey can't help but feel so lucky with Avan Jogia.
Nearly one year after debuting their relationship, wedding bells will be ringing in the future for the couple, the "Without Me" singer confirmed.
Halsey corrected a Sept. 11 post on X that stated, "Halsey says she hopes to marry boyfriend Avan Jogia." She reposted the tweet Sept. 12 and added, "***fiancé Avan Jogia."
At the 2024 MTV VMAs, she hinted at the news when she shared whether marriage was in the cards for her and the Victorious alum. The 29-year-old exclusively told E! News correspondent Will Marfuggi at the Sept. 11 award show, "I hope so."
"Avan is the best," she gushed. "He's one of the greatest things that ever happened to me. And every single day that I get to spend with him is one where I just feel like I'm with my best friend."
And the 32-year-old has found his place in Halsey's family, even developing a close bond with her son, Ender, 3, whom she shares with ex Alev Aydin. "They're best friends, too," she added. "They're inseparable."
The "Bad at Love" singer and the Shaft actor first sparked engagement rumors over the summer after the couple soaked in the sun during a picnic in New York City. Although neither addressed the outing, Halsey was seen with a new ring on that finger.
The "Lucky" singer—who recently shared she's been privately battling lupus and a rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder—reflected on meeting Avan during the She MD podcast in August and beginning a relationship with the "baggage" she carries.
"It's challenging," she admitted. "When I met my partner, I was a single mom and I thought I was on my deathbed, basically."
"It was a couple weeks into talking to him," she continued. "I was like, I have to explain to this person the reality that I'm a single mom and how this is going to make everything about this different. I'm also having to decide if this is a person that I potentially want to have around my child. And then, I have to tell him I'm sick."
Although she admitted that she was worried about scaring him off, it wasn’t a concern, because as she put it, "We’re the right fit."
"He has the ability to really show up in a way that has given me so much healing, and has made me be able to accept myself, and allow me to say when I don't feel well, or when I don't want to do something," she added. "I am grateful every day that it was him."
