Dua Lipa's fans weren't exactly levitating with excitement over her newest culinary creation.
The "Houdini" singer revealed her shocking soda recipe, which features Diet Coke, pickle juice and a dash of jalapeño sauce.
Dua shared the drink on her TikTok Oct. 5 with a video of her sitting in a restaurant and explaining for the camera that step one was Diet Coke, followed by pickle juice and "then some jalapeño sauce" poured from a plastic container of chopped peppers. She noted you should remember to give it "a little mixup" to get the flavors combined.
"Everyone's staring at me," she mused. "The lady in the back is like, ‘What the hell is she doing.'"
The 29-year-old—who is currently dating actor Callum Turner—topped off her creation with slices of pickles and jalapeños before tasting the beverage. Even she appeared to be surprised by how good it was, giving a satisfied hair flip and saying, "Oooo. That is, mmmm!"
Her friends at the table were divided by the soda, with one noting it was "randomly not bad." Although Dua's sister Rina was less delighted by the taste, giving a visibly disgusted reaction to the camera after taking a sip.
And much like those who tried it, the internet was also divided on their thoughts regarding the drink.
"How does one discover this?" one user asked on TikTok, while another commented, "Dua, is this a prank!?"
Still, some were into the idea, with one fan writing, "it seems odd but I'm I intrigued?"
Another joked, "Idk why but hmmm might actually try it. also giving pregnancy cravings…"
Fans were equally split on X, formerly Twitter, with one saying about the video, "This is the most evil thing I've ever watched."
But once again, Dua's loyal fans prevailed, with one cracking, "She can make me a poison and i would still drink it."
And this is hardly the first time the "Cold Heart" singer has shocked the internet with her savory-sweet food choices. Last year, Dua revealed her go-to ice cream order, explaining that while she was not a fan of chocolate ice cream, she is a fan of vanilla ice cream with olive oil and sea salt.
"So many people that I've shown it to I've brought to the dark side," she told BBC Radio One in November 2023. "But it's so good, you have to try it."
Fans at the time were just as curious, with one writing on TikTok, "Just gotta know how she stumbled upon this combo."
