Why Bradley Cooper Won't Be Supporting Girlfriend Gigi Hadid at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show

Gigi Hadid will have one less air-kiss to blow on this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show runway. 
 
While preparing for the star-studded event, the supermodel revealed backstage that boyfriend Bradley Cooper would be sitting this year’s show out.
 
“He’s watching from home tonight,” the 29-year-old told Entertainment Tonight. “He is on dad duty, but so supportive.”
 
While Gigi and the Maestro actor—who shares daughter Lea, 7, with ex Irina Shayk (who is also strutting the VS runway this year)—have been quietly linked since October 2023, they haven’t entirely shied away from the cameras. In fact, the duo was spotted indulging in PDA on a yacht off the coast of Italy back in August.
 
Still, while Bradley, 49, typically shies away from sharing details about his love life, he makes his love for fatherhood abundantly clear.
"Honestly, I'm not sure I'd be alive if I wasn't a dad,” he said on Armchair Expert with Dax Shepherd in February. "I just needed someone to say, 'We're gonna drop this massive anchor,' and I'm like, 'Why? We're speeding. We just got an upgrade on the boat and I know where the wind is coming in.' And they're like, 'No, there's a tsunami coming and you need an anchor and we're gonna drop it. This is going to dictate everything you do from now on." 
 
But despite the A Star Is Born director sitting out the Victoria Secret Fashion Show Oct 15, Gigi—who is mom to her and Zayn Malik’s daughter Khai, 4—shared she’ll have her girls by her side.
 
“I have friends coming,” she told ET. “So many friends.”
 
Among those friends? Another VS favorite, Adriana Lima, who will also be hitting the runway. And the OG angel couldn’t be more thrilled to strap her wings back on.
“I’m so excited to be back in New York City for the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show,” Adriana gushed to E! News ahead of the event. “It’s so exciting because this is where everything started for me back in 1999. I don’t know. It’s insane—it’s crazy.”
 
Though the 43-year-old is a certified VS veteran, she still gets the jitters before showtime.
 
“I could not sleep last night,” she admitted. “My head was just going, going, going out of excitement. I know exactly where all the cameras are on the runway—so I was thinking, what I’m gonna do, where I’m gonna look. I was just imagining that.”
