Snoop Dogg just updated his Olympics resume with yet another role: Closing Ceremony performer.
After stealing the show day after day in Paris during the 2024 Olympics, the rapper, who served as an NBC Olympics Special Correspondent, flew back to his native California to help usher the Games to Los Angeles for 2028 on Aug. 11. The handoff, which began with H.E.R. performing the National Anthem, saw Simone Biles and L.A. Mayor Karen Bass take hold of the Olympic flag. Only for Tom Cruise to leap into the Stade de France, take hold of the flag and fly it over to Hollywood.
After rousing performances by Red Hot Chili Peppers and Billie Eilish on the sunny Venice Beach stage, Snoop kicked off his two-song set on the boardwalk with one of his biggest hits, "Drop It Like It's Hot."
Then, a special guest took the stage as Snoop made his way through the crowd: Dr. Dre. Closing out the handoff section of the ceremony, the longtime collaborators performed "The Next Episode"—a fitting tune to welcome the Olympics to L.A.
It was fitting that Snoop played a special part of the Olympics Closing ceremony—and not just because of his California roots. After all, the 52-year-old's tenure at the 2024 Paris Olympics, which included a stint as a torchbearer—was nothing short of medal-worthy.
Snoop not only kicked off the inaugural breaking competition on Aug. 9, but he held a special performance for the American men's and women's basketball teams—both of whom ended up winning gold—just a few days prior.
And that's not nearly all as for all 16 days, Snoop could be spotted in the crowd, from beach volleyball and gymnastics to tennis and dressage, the "Gin & Juice" artist was showing his love for Team USA.
Often, of course, wearing his love right there on his chest as he donned custom fits bearing the faces of Team USA Olympians like Simone, Coco Gauff, Kelly Cheng, Sara Hughes and A'ja Wilson—just to name a few.

Gymnastics star Simone Biles gets more than just a T-Shirt, she gets a whole zip-up jacket. Snoop posted this iconic photo to his Instagram to the song "When Somebody Loves You Back."
Snoop wore beach volleyball star Sara Hughes' face on his zip-up as he cheered them on.
"I had a chance to meet these ladies and fell in love with them, their whole strategic approach as far as their teamwork and how the keep family and sisterhood," he told NBC Sports before the match. "That's so important, and I just love supporting them."
He zipped down his jacket with Sara's face on it to reveal teammate Kelly Cheng's face!
Snoop Dogg and fellow Long Beach, California, native Billie Jean King posed for an iconic photo while watching the second round of men's singles.
Committed to immersing himself in the spirit of Team USA, Snoop attended the equestrian's team Dressage Final in a full riding outfit.
Snoop's zip-up featured an equestrian horse and rider as he attended the women's soccer quarterfinal match between United States and Japan.
Snoop and his son Cordell Broadus spent some quality time together, representing the stars and stripes at the men's foil team round of 8 bouts.
The USA women's basketball team joined Snoop onstage during "A Celebration of Olympic Basketball," and Snoop championed basketball player A'ja Wilson on his shirt.
